Do you believe in Evolution?
|
Gallup recently took a poll of 1007 people via phone and found that statistically Republicans did not believe in evolution more than 2-1 (68%-30%), based mostly on their ranks of religious members. Democrats split 57-40 in favor of evolution and "independents" split 61-37. The poll also showed that the vast majority of Americans, 81%, believe God had a hand, one way or the other, in the development of Humans -- either in an Adam & Eve method or Intelligent Design cum evolution. Of those who said they don't believe in evolution, nearly 100% attributed it to their religion.
